Carl Milles (1875–1955) enjoyed a prolific artistic career in Europe and the United States and remains one of Sweden’s best-known sculptors. Largely inspired by classical mythology and Swedish history, Milles’s figurative work is traditional in subject matter but modern and expressive in style, becoming increasingly technically innovative over time.
This book is produced in conjunction with Millesgården, the home and studios of Carl and Olga Milles in Lidingö, Sweden.
