About us

ART EDITIONS LTD.

Art Editions publishes a variety of monographs and thematic titles in its Art Souvenir series. Books in the series are intended for a wide international audience, especially tourists, hence their small format and reasonable price. Most of the Art Souvenir titles are published in cooperation with museums and artists’ estates.

Art Editions is a separate imprint of Gudrun Publishing.

ADVISORY BOARD

The Art Editions Advisory Board is an informal board of distinguished academics and book market professionals who offer periodic advice and direction to the publishing house.

Ásdís Ólafsdóttir
Art historian Ásdís Ólafsdóttir has been the director of the Maison Louis Carré, a historic house museum near Paris designed by Alvar and Elissa Aalto, since 2006. A curator, author and lecturer, Ólafsdóttir has also served as editor of ARTnord, a magazine devoted to Nordic and Baltic art.

Halldór Björn Runólfsson
Contemporary art historian Halldór Björn Runólfsson is a veteran curator, writer, and popular lecturer. Runólfsson was formerly the chair of the Department of Art History at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and from 2007 to 2017 he served as the director of the National Gallery of Iceland.

Norbert Weber
Artist and curator Norbert Weber has been the director of the Provinzial Nord AG art collection since 2000 and a member of the Expert Committee of the Latvian Museum of Contemporary Art since 2005. He has also taught at the Muthesius Academy of Art and the Institute of Art History at Christian-Albrecht University, both in Kiel, Germany.
