The Skagen Painters were a group of Scandinavian artists who came together around the turn of the twentieth century in Skagen, Denmark’s northernmost point, where two oceans meet. They formed a particular school of painting, inspired by the unique quality of light at Skagen.
This book contains 37 works by the most important Skagen Painters, as well as a short introduction by Holger Koefoed.
