Jóhannes Kjarval (1885–1972) By common consent, Jóhannes Sveinsson Kjarval is the greatest painter Iceland has produced, as well as the most Icelandic in temperament.

The book contains 37 pictures of various techniques and is made with the help and co-operation of the Reykjavík Art Museum.
